Care Instructions — How to Care for Your Blouse
Care Instructions — Figure's Designer Saree Blouses
To keep your Figure's Designer blouse looking beautiful for years, please follow these care guidelines based on the fabric type.
Embroidered Blouses (Sequin / Net / Zari)
- Dry clean recommended for best results
- If hand washing, use cold water and mild detergent — gently dab, do not scrub
- Do NOT machine wash — the sequins and embroidery can snag or loosen
- Do not bleach
- Do not tumble dry — lay flat on a towel to dry in shade
- Iron on reverse side only, on low heat. Do not iron directly on sequins or embroidery
- Store flat or hang. Avoid folding on embroidered areas
Silk Blouses (Dupion Silk / Raw Silk)
- Dry clean strongly recommended
- If hand washing, use cold water with a silk-safe detergent
- Do not wring or twist — gently squeeze out water
- Dry in shade — never in direct sunlight as it can fade silk
- Iron on low heat on reverse side while slightly damp
Brocade Blouses
- Dry clean recommended
- If hand washing, cold water only with mild detergent
- Do not scrub or rub the brocade pattern
- Lay flat to dry in shade
- Iron on reverse side on low-medium heat
Corset Blouses (C1, C2, C3)
- Dry clean only — the boning structure can be damaged by water
- Store on a hanger to maintain the shape of the boning
- Never machine wash or tumble dry
General Tips
- Store all blouses separately in a cloth bag or tissue paper to prevent colour transfer
- For long storage, wrap in muslin cloth — avoid plastic bags
- Always test any cleaning method on a small hidden area first
